Chapter 20
The Birds In
The
Can you hear them.? Can you feel their calming spirit.? Do you see their
reflection dancing off the summer moon light? High above the earth, perhaps sitting
a top a tree branch looking over the rest of the world without a care? They
know in their hearts they are small. Maybe even a little less important than
the creatures and humans that surround them on a daily basis. But that is not
important to them. For they, like few humans get to see the world from a
different perspective. Because, they unlike most of us are free. Free to
fly wherever their hearts and God may lead them. Some, well some, of
course stay near to where they were born. Others travel the world and
never come back to their birth place. Leaving behind their lives and loved ones
with no regret. They have no worries. God feeds them, just as the Bible states
in Matthew 6:26. They have no restrictions placed on them by man. They are
the birds that live in the forest. Who knows better than they what the
moon truly looks like at night? Or how the Summer wind blows when no one is
around? Who knows more than they how the lion snores or the snake sleeps? Only
their Maker understands more than them. The Creator of the Universe, The
Father In Heaven! I ask you my friends, have you like they, ever danced
upon a stream at midnight amongst the trees and wind? Have you ever witnessed a
crystal blue sky at night that was filled with thousands of stars smiling
back at you while you just stood there looking up at them with amazement? They
have. I am sure they have. They probably sing every time they see God's
imagination in every cloud that is formed and every newly designed sunrise that
hits their face when the morning and the Good Lord says hello. Let me ask you.
Do you sing in the morning?
Does your day start off with a ‘thank you to God’? Or
maybe an’ I love you’ to Lord Jesus Christ before we stuff our face with
hotcakes and sausage and hot coffee. Or, maybe just a simple hello to the one
who sits on the throne of Heaven before we shower, get dressed and fire up our
lap tops. Maybe they know something that most humans don't. And they
are just grateful for another day. And that is why they wake up singing? I
cannot imagine what it would be like to sit in the midst of a thousand
trees. Surrounded only by freedom and sky. To feel the first drops of a
summer rain shower. Or to be the one to catch the first snowflake of the season
called, Winter. God's Word says that He knows when one of these little
birds falls from the sky. I believe these tiny, free and chirping
seemingly insignificant creatures of the air really know who their maker is.
They understand more than most humans, who they really trust. Trust to
feed them, protect them, keep them safe and warm. And lead them to safety after
a long but not so hard day. I wonder tonight if you worry a lot? Does your life
paralyze you from truly flying? Are your days filled with so much baggage from
yesterday's failures and mistakes that your wings cannot take flight? Is the
spirit of fear preventing you from leaving your home and chasing your dreams
and ambitions? I believe that before we can take off and fly we must mature. We
must truly understand who we are praying to. Who we are making our requests
known to. Worry can prevent us from becoming who we are destined to be. Have
you ever stopped believing in yourself? Have you ever listened to some one say
that your dream is to hard to accomplish? Or say that you cannot do that, so
why would you even try? Words that cripple our wings, words that put
limits on what God can do with and through us. Symbols of doubt that loom like
giants, if believed that they are true. Let me share with you
something. Satan is not going to throw you a parade if you decide to step
out and do something for God. He is not going to tell you to go and witness to
the unsaved. Or share a beautiful Christian song with the lost. No, the Devil
and his branch of demons want to discourage you for doing great things for the
Lord Jesus Christ. He wants you to believe that you are worth nothing. That you’re
not very handsome or pretty, or even that you do not matter to anyone. He will
remind you of all your past mistakes with a bull horn. Or some days with
a soft and gentle whisper that if listened to and believed can run shivers
of doubt and discouragement into one's heart. Let me share with you this
thought my friends. God roots for you!! He understands all your pain and joy.
He knows the desires of your heart, even before you do! The Lord has your name
written on His hand!. And all your hairs numbered. And all your tears stored up
in a bottle! The bottom line is that He is God and He made you. Designed you in
your mother's womb!( Psalm 139 ) That is why he made you special. That is why
you are special! Because the Creator of the Universe made you special! And
Jesus Christ believes that you are so special that he died for you on the
cross. Sometimes TRUST is hard to comprehend. Most of us at one time or another
have been let down by somebody in our life, causing us to not trust anybody. Leaving us
to feel alone and abandoned. But let me share with you a big secret today
my friends. God loves you and wants you to fly again! He wants you to soar
above the clouds. He wants to free you from the cage you have been imprisoned
in. Maybe it has been the cage of doubt, or maybe the cage of guilt. Or it
could be that it has been the cage named fear. Whatever its name or
its title you know what it is called. And so does God. Isn't it time to
ask God to set you free? Ask Him for forgiveness, Ask Him to set you free
like the Birds of the Forest. Ask him to cover your blunders past,
present and future with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Then, after this
has been done for you and you learn how to fly again. Send me an email and tell
me how beautiful the sky looks under a full moon at midnight, or how great
it feels to soar again above the clouds. Maybe you will not have to email
me. Maybe, just maybe I will see you there. High above the mountain tops. Lord
willing! Say hi to me, okay? I look forward to that day. Don’t you?
God Bless you on your journey and flight? I love You, Lord Jesus for
the freedom and chance to fly again. Sure feels good for the strength to
try again. So grateful to you Lord for the chance to love again. For the
opportunity to write again, and breathe again, and truly live again. It is only
by your mercy and grace! We are so very grateful to be fed with these
gifts by Our Father's loving hand. Thanks Lord Jesus, Thank
you so very much!
